“Adult education and training are critical to United Kingdom’s (UK’s) recovery; by 2030 90% of all jobs will include some level of digitisation. Digital knowledge and skills are increasingly becoming more important at every level of education and work.
And as Covid-19 continues to accelerate changes to the world of work, the UK should use this momentum to drive a national re-skilling effort to future-proof livelihoods and power UK competitiveness, through changing work environments shaped by Information and communications technology (ICT), outsourcing, internationalisation and the need for greater flexibility.
New technologies, changing market structures, and innovative employment models are emerging, and online and blended learning techniques are becoming more widespread and sophisticated to match the expectations of fee-paying learners.”
